Kitchen

If you plan on preparing your own meals, all you need to bring is the food. Our kitchen has everything else you need, and our gas grill is always available. Your family can gather at our large dining room table for eight, the breakfast bar for three or our screened porch – with a surrounded view of our forest. Afterward, stop by our Coffee Bar for a cup of Joe, then step out onto our deck to relax and try spotting some of the friendly wildlife in our backyard woods. 

Outdoor Fun

While outside, enjoy our safe, private, backyard play land. Kids will enjoy the play gym, running around in nature and playing with the many outdoor toys.  Any adults need to unwind? Soak in our new hot tub, share stories around the fire pit or simply enjoy nature from our comfy couches.  Feel adventurous? Take a hike through our private walking trails and try to spot all nine planets that are hidden among the trees.  

Indoor Entertainment

Back in our basement, you can’t miss our retro-themed rec room. The highlight is a genuine SKEE-BALL machine that comes with six exciting games for up to six players. Everyone will have fun playing classic board games such as Mouse Trap, Operation, Clue, and Twister. Older kids and adults can challenge each other to a game of foosball or one of our other board games. Younger kids can play with our boxes of toys or choose from dozens of DVDs. On a rainy day or any evening, our rec room will keep you entertained!

Need to kick back? Head upstairs to our spacious living room where everyone can relax and chat or watch over 170 channels on our TVs. In the cooler months, you can cozy up to our wood burning fireplace. 

Our Nook and Office

When it’s time for a break, head upstairs to our unique sleeping loft which is our namesake – Stargazer’s Nook! Snuggle up with a book, take a nap on the queen mattress, or gaze into the night sky through the three walls of tall windows. It’s also a ‘dreamy’ place to sleep at night.

Need to work? Our free high-speed internet and office space for two will provide what you need, right next to the nook.  

Great Location

Our home is centrally located in The Galena Territory, nestled in 1.6 acres of trees and grass on a quiet, private cul-de-sac. We are located less than 2 miles from the main entrance, Highland Restaurant, Country Store, and The General Golf Course. Or, in the other direction, just a little over a mile from the Owners Club. Downtown Galena is just nine miles away. Our home is NOT pet friendly. 

Owners Club Access

You will have access to the GTA Owners Club while staying with us. The club is an exclusive amenity that can be used only by Galena Territory property owners and guests – you! The indoor pool is open year-round. The large outdoor swimming pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with slides and a kiddie pool. There is also a fitness room, game room, indoor/outdoor basketball courts, tennis & pickle ball courts, seasonal snack bar, free Wi-Fi, and outdoor playground. Wow!

Do you love outdoor activities? If so, the Galena Territory also offers Lake Galena with trophy fishing, boat & kayak rentals, Shenandoah Horseback Riding Center, and miles & miles of nature trails. Please remember usage of the amenities is NEVER guaranteed. We do not discount or refund due to their closure. 

Booking

When you book a home with us, we will require 30% down, this is a payment not a deposit. The full balance is due 14 days prior to check in. If you cancel prior to the 14 days you will receive the first payment less a $35 cancellation fee. At the 14 day mark, your stay will become non-refundable and dates cannot be adjusted. Your payments will automatically be processed to the card you placed on file at the time of booking. Your rental agreement (sent after booking) will reflect the due dates and amounts. Please NOTE: You will be required to sign an electronic rental agreement at the time of booking. We ask this be signed and filed within 48 hours of receiving to guarantee your reservation. You must be 25 or older at the time of booking and present the entire stay. Our cancellation policy is NOT flexible, we highly recommend travel insurance. Travel insurance is offered at the time of booking and up until 15 days prior to check in. The provider is CSA. 

Check-in

Check in details are sent 3 days prior to your arrival to the email on file. This includes the home’s address, the access code and other pertinent home/area information. Early check-in is never guaranteed and cannot be considered until the night before or morning of your arrival. The check-in details will cover this process.
